20 March 2008, Boston, MA – So today sucked, like the last couple
have, and I haven't gotten a chance to make pictures or post them or
anything. I was feeling like today would be the same until I got a
call telling me I was late for a job. So I ran up Comm Ave and
photographed a show that was crammed with an arena full of teenie
boppers shrieking their godforsaken souls out. There's something odd
about something that teen-girl-horde sound that causes a deep rumble
to fade in amidst the higher frequencies that I can only attribute to
the brain being unable to process anything more shrill, so it
replaces certain glass shattering tones with something that sounds
like the very earth under your feet is about to swallow you whole. At
any rate, I was only subjected to three songs worth of this madness,
per my credential, before I was set free. As I was waiting for public
transportation to take me back to the office I had so hastily fled
from less than an hour prior, I saw the clouds illuminate and the
moon peek through. There was a serenity about the moment — ears
still ringing — that contrasted perfectly with the madness and
contrived joy to which I had just been witness. I took a few frames
as the jet stream dragged the cloud out toward the bay and felt the
imbalance of the evening settle down.

I was wondering who was shooting the Jonas Brothers…I’m so sorry. I hope you can still hear.
I noticed the moon, too; glad it provided some solace from crappiness.
