My name is Dominick. I am a Georgia boy who now calls Boston home. Some of my words have a drawl, and others a New England accent — sometimes in the same sentence. I listen to American country music and Indian bhangra. My right eye sees, and my left eye perceives, and I use them both in the process of making pictures.

I believe in the power of the photograph, the potential of video, and the value of true stories. When it comes to assignments, I live by the photojournalist’s motto: “Make pictures, not excuses.”

I am a specialist in documentary photojournalism, weddings, portraits, multimedia and action sports, and I would like the opportunity to put my skills to work for you.

I hold a degree in journalism from Boston University, where I now manage the digital and traditional darkrooms of the Photojournalism Program. I am also returning member of the teaching staff of the Sports Institute at Boston University. Also in 2009, I studied under Pulitzer Prize-winner Stan Grossfeld at the Maine Media Workshops. In previous years, I have worked on assignment internationally with my partner, Leah, for the Living Earth Foundation.

Freelance clients include: Harvard University, Boston University, The Boston Red Sox, MIT, the Quincy Patriot-Ledger, the European Pressphoto Agency, and Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley.

Skills include: Canon and Nikon cameras and lenses, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Panasonic P2 and AVCHD video, Macintosh OSX and Server, B&W 35mm and Medium format film.
